SBR Strengthens Indonesian Values in the Global Era through Independence Day Celebration

Perayaan HUT RI, SBR Perkuat Nilai Keindonesiaan

Sekolah Bogor Raya (SBR), an international-standard school in Bogor, celebrated Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day with traditional games and a flag ceremony involving students from various countries. The activities, including sack races and tug-of-war, aimed to revive the spirit of independence, teamwork, and introduce Indonesian culture to all students, including those from abroad.

The flag ceremony on August 17, 2024, was a moment to reflect on the sacrifices of Indonesia’s heroes. Susandi, the Principal of SBR Junior High School, emphasized the importance of education in building a strong and competitive nation in the global arena. He encouraged students to dream big and uphold Indonesian values while preparing for global challenges.

Fransiska Susilawati, SBR’s Academic Director, expressed pride in how SBR, as a SPK (Collaborative Education Unit) school, integrates internationally accredited curricula with leadership training that respects local values. The school offers programs such as the International Baccalaureate and Cambridge International Education while also fostering leadership and cultural appreciation through extracurricular activities like Model United Nations and Spelling Bee competitions.

SBR’s programs are designed to prepare students for success in top global universities while ensuring they remain connected to Indonesian values and culture.

SBR will also host an Open House on Saturday, September 21, 2024, offering prospective students and parents a chance to explore the school, meet teachers, and learn more about its educational programs.
