On Thursday the 13th of September, Bapak Dedie A. Rachman, our elected deputy mayor, visited Sekolah Bogor Raya to gain an understanding of our cultural program and had a wonderful experience with Gr.4 Students who were playing Gamelan.
One of SBR’s Cultural Program goals is to promote and preserve Gamelan performances as part of our precious heritage. During our afternoon together, Bapak Dedie learned how to play the Gamelan from Gr.4 students. He also visited our school facilities and was very impressed by them.
He really appreciates SBR’s effort to preserve our cultural heritage through traditional music especially the Gamelan.
